REPRODUCTIVE PERFORMANCE IN HEIFERS

Be aware of the following two criteria for maximum reproductive performances;

1. Age; Heifers should be 15 mo of age before using in breeding. If there are heat signs before younger ages, do not breed them due to their immature skeletal and mammary growths.
2. Body weight; Heifers should reach 70% of their mature body weights before being bred. This corresponds to 400 kg body weight.
