USING SPECIFICATIONS

• IPEK CALF STARTER FEED should be used after2 to 3 weeks of parturition
• The colostrum should be fed in first day of calving (3-4 liter) with 2-3 equal portions.
• An individual milking bottle needs to be used for each calf for feeding colostrum or milk. This bottle stimulates suckling reflex and helps for functioning digestive tract. Using same milking bottle causes disease transmission. Each milking bottle needs to be cleaned with hot water and disinfectants after feeding calves.
• Starting from 2 weeks of age, IPEK CALF STARTER FEED can be in front of calves at 1-1.5 kg along with 3-4 liter of milk daily. This portion should be split up in three equal portions (500 gr each)
• Milk consumption should be reduced to 3 liters in week 3 then 2 liters in week 4.
• High quality alfalfa hay should be in front of calves after 6th week. This help for rumen development.
• Clean water should always be present in free choice for calves
